This is a natural fiber Cotton ladder lace trim. We originally thought it was cotton because it burned and smelled like cotton when I did the burn test, but it has a rough texture of burlap.
So it could be cotton with starch or finish to stiffen the trim, or it could be bleached burlap. Either way, it's a natural fiber.
It would be great for embellishing clothing, accessories, and other craft projects.
